PLUS Expressway Berhad (PLUS) will be running the "PLUS: The Winning Formula" contest for PLUSMiles cardholders until March 26, where 50 winners will each receive two grandstand t ickets to the Malaysian F1
Grandprix on April 4.

PLUS corporate communications  general manager Khalilah Mohd Talha says the contest, in conjunction with the race in Sepang, is part of the company's initiatives to reward cardholders from time to time.

SUDESH RATNARAJAH of Petaling Jaya is appalled that after a regular "polish", his barely month-old RM699
leather shoes have become discoloured.

He says when he bought the arch-supporting brown shoes from Foot Solutions at The Curve on Feb 2, he was not
informed on ways to care for the shoes.

When the time came for a polish, he did it based on the pair's state and condition.

"Judging from the visual appearance and colour, I proceeded to use a brown polish.

After polishing some parts of the shoes, I noticed the colour had faded," he says.

RIZAL of Kuala Lumpur is unhappy because he has yet to receive his RM100 refund from P1 WiMAX after cancelling his broadband plan during the cooling-off period.

He says it has been two months and that he called their officers at least four times but to no avail. "One of the officers told me that the money was credited to my Maybank account on Feb 10 but there was no transaction at all when I checked," says RIZAL.

"Another time, another officer told me that the refund is still being processed. How long more do I have to
wait?"

CLARA XAVIER of Puchong is furious by the lack of commitment showed by several Perodua service centres to replace a defective part on her car which has irritated her for more than a year.

"In September 2008, I bought a white ViVa 1.0 EZ from Perodua's Bandar Bukit Puchong branch office. Soon after, the car started having noises. I complained to the salesman and he told me the car is under a three-year warranty and it is best for me to report the problem during the scheduled service," she says.

CHEW of Kuala Lumpur says he has been misled by a DiGi joint promotion with a credit card company that involves porting his line from Maxis to DiGi to save on monthly commitment charges.

He says the promotion states that subscription to the DiGi Voice Plan of DG50 will see him paying RM30 a month instead of RM50 for the first 12 months.

MOHANI NIZA of Taman TAR in Ampang is disheartened with visitors at a nearby park 'trashing' her favourite exercise haunt.

"They are a nuisance to visitors," he says. "Car owners are forced to pay RM5 to these 'thugs' for no reason."

LYNETTE recently made an online booking with Malaysia Airlines (MAS) for her husband and herself but failed to include their middle names, as there was no indication for her to do so.

She says there are only instructions to enter the first name on the first line and the surname on the second line.

LYNETTE says MAS' online booking system does not request passport details or state that the names should tally with what is stated in it.

"When I printed the e-tickets, I noticed the errors and immediately contacted the MAS Call Centre," she says.

RESIDENTS of dengue hot spots in Kuala Lumpur are advised to ensure that their environment is taken care of properly, including ridding their areas of any potential breeding grounds for aedes mosquitos.

GIRI of Kuala Lumpur claims Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) has been slow to issue him a cheque for the difference between his original loan and  the refinancing of his loan for an apartment in Kota Warisan Sepang.

"When I bought the apartment five years ago, I obtained a housing loan from BSN and they approved it within four months," he says.

"Last year, I applied for a refinancing of the loan on a longerterm basis so that I could get some cash from the  difference between my original loan and the new loan as I need money for further studies."

SELVI of Setapak, Kuala Lumpur is upset with the attitude of a RapidKL bus driver.

"I am a regular passenger of the T302 bus which starts its journey from the Wangsa Maju LRT station but there is a particular driver on this route who, after parking his bus, will go to the resting area for drivers and make passengers who have lined up to board the bus wait for a long time," she says.

NADARAJAH of Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur, is anxious about the out-of-order traffic lights at a pedestrian crossing in Jalan Maarof, Bangsar.

"I work in a restaurant near the pedestrian crossing and I have witnessed many times the difficulties people face while trying to cross the road due to the faulty traffic lights which has not been working for over a week," he says.

"On many occasions, I have gone out of the restaurant to assist elderly people to cross the road as I cannot bear watching them risking their lives."

With regards to the report “WAITING 10 MONTHS FOR A ‘LIMITED STOCK’ CAR” which appeared on page 8, Hotline section of The Malay Mail on March 2, 2010, Naza Kia would like to point out several inaccuracies in the article. These inaccuracies are as follows:

"I have been using Michelin tyres since 1984 for all my cars but the Pilot Sport 2 series has been disappointing as, after about 20,000km, the sidewall of two of these four tyres are bulging," he says, adding that he currently uses two sporty Mercedes-Benz cars.

RICHARD, the building manager of the Vista Indah Putra Apartments in Klang, fears that Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Syabas) may cut off water supply to them as, up to March 3, the management company has yet to pay RM66,865.40 to the water supplier.

"Sixty per cent of the apartment residents have paid their share for the water bill, and we urge the remaining 40% to do so without delay or all residents will be without water as early as next week."

NG of Klang is upset that Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) has been slow to resolve his complaint about a problematic portable modem.

"I signed up for TM's Streamyx combo package last November and received the modem the following month, but it became faulty in mid-January," he says, adding that he complained twice and also went to the nearest TM branch to get the problem fixed.
