IT was a fun day indeed for the students of Sekolah Kebangsaan Seri Kelana, when they got the chance to hurl mud balls into a lake at Kelana Jaya Park recently. Motorola employees and 27 pupils from the school’s Smart Rangers threw 1,100 effective microorganism (EM) mud balls into Lake 4, in a bid to cleanse and conserve the water ecosystem.

A COMMUNITY Weight Loss Challenge will be held in the Raja Chulan area of KL starting Monday, Oct 19 at 7.45pm.

 

The idea is for all participants to get healthier and lose weight over an eight-week period. There will be information on a range of interesting and helpful topics.

Five non-governmental organisations — WAO, Nursalam, Voice of the Children, SPCA and World Without Wars — have joined hands to organise the WMKL, the Malaysian leg of the first ever World March.

Happening tomorrow night, it will include a lantern walk themed “Reclaiming the Night” from 8.30pm to 9pm. Besides the walk, there will also be a fun-filled street festival at Jalan Bangkung, Bukit Bandaraya as well as a Peace Dance at Leonardo’s Wine Loft.

THE Sentul Methodist Boys’ School (MBS) Old Boys’ Association (OBA) will be holding its OBA Fellowship Dinner at the OBA Premises in Dewan Azman Hashim in the school at 7.30pm on Sunday, Oct 11.
