A MAN may have pulled out his car door handles so that when he plunged into the depths of a mining pool, he could not escape even if he wanted to.

Such is the speculation of witnesses after seeing the door handles, body powder and a RM5 note among the items which were next to the pool where a man was believed to have committed suicide on Sunday night.

 

AFTER lying low for more than half a year, thieves preying on unsuspecting tourists in five-star hotels appear to have resurfaced.

Having apparently shifted out of their comfort zone in the Golden Triangle and Penang, they have acquired a new target — Petaling Jaya. Believed to be foreigners from Colombia, Peru, the Philippines and the Middle East, they had in the past had a field day at five-star hotels using different modus operandi (see accompanying story).
