Adam Lambert should have won American Idol. That was what a lot of people were probably thinking during the show’s eighth season finale. However, a lot more felt that Kris Allen deserved the title as well as a career in the music industry, and spoke with their votes.

It’s all academic now, as both stars are on the right track. Lambert is finally releasing his debut effort this week.

American Idol star Adam Lambert has ended the guessing game over his sexual orientation by confirming he is gay in an interview with Rolling Stone magazine. Glam-rocker Lambert, 27, who finished runner-up to clean-cut Kris Allen in the television singing contest last month, told Rolling Stone he had been living openly as a gay man for several years.

IT is hard not to notice that this season's American Idol's producers and judges have been trying very hard to influence the minds of voters, tailoring evaluations to the singer rather than the performance, publicly announcing certain contestants as inevitable finalists, and for three times even handing the coveted spot to Adam Lambert.
