NO words can describe the anguish that mother of two Sharmiza Suleiman suffered when her children went missing from their home on Monday.

Her anguish, however, came to an end when police informed her at 11 last night that her children had been found.

MELBOURNE: A 64-year-old father and his 21-year-old son, whom police say stood to make more than A$800,000 (RM2.2m) smuggling Afghan refugees into Australia, have been arrested.

Australian Federal Police (AFP) conducted a raid on their home in Shepparton, Victoria, early yesterday morning and arrested the two men over an alleged people smuggling ring operating in the country. The pair, Australian citizens of Afghan descent, had apparently been secretly plotting to clear a path for 68 refugees since April.

LOAN shark enforcers are believed to have abducted and murdered three-year-old Lee Li Xuan in a fishing village in Perak, police said last night.

The boys’s death by drowning is the most ruthless act on record by loan sharks. If in the past they resorted to violence of a lesser degree, they have now stooped to the lowest point possible by killing a kid.

Police have a clue already: The main suspect is said to be a thin dark-skinned man sporting a ponytail and who drives a dark Proton Wira Aeroback.
