KUALA LUMPUR: PAS has come out in support of Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as opposition leader despite the resignation of three Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) members of parliament recently.

"The three parties that form Pakatan Rakyat (PR) will continue to give full support to Anwar," PAS secretary-general Datuk Mustafa Ali told a Press conference here today.

He said the government and Dewan Rakyat Speaker had no right to decide the opposition leader as it was determined by opposition members.

PENANG: Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) advisor Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim admitted today to have wrongly picked some candidates to be the party's parliamentary elected representatives in the last general election in
2008.

Anwar, who is Opposition Leader, said the party would be extra careful in the selection of electoral candidates in coming general elections, ensuring that they were unwavering, strong and clean.

LONDON: The resignation of yet another Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) stalwart should make leaders rethink the support given to Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Information Communication and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Dr Rais Yatim said.

He said the resignation of the Bayan Baru Member of Parliament Datuk Seri Zahrain Mohamed Hashim showed that PKR had lost the potential to contribute to the DAP-PKR-PAS coalition.

MIRI: Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin today said the trend of no confidence in the leadership of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) will be ongoing as many of the party's members were aware their leaders were championing baseless platforms.

He said based on information he received many of PKR's members were frustrated of Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's leadership and that of other party leaders like Selangor Menteri Besar Selangor Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim.

The clarfication came from Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, political secretary to Selangor Menteri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim, to clear the air over the appointment of Anwar — Khalid's 'boss' in PKR — as State economic advisor.

PENAMPANG: Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said today that the Sabah PKR's internal problems have been resolved and the members have expressed support for the state's party line-up.

He said the party leadership had received a lot of feedback from members who voiced their concerns and had explained the decision-making process to them.
