KUALA LUMPUR: Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz yesterday ridiculed PAS for its surprise decision on Monday to back the use of 'allah' by Catholic publication Herald.

"PAS is only a political party, I don't believe that PAS 'is' Islam, if you get what I mean," he told The Malay Mail.

KUALA KANGSAR: The Executive Taxi Operators and Owners Association of Malaysia (Pupteksm) has been told by Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Aziz to find ways to improve service instead of seeking cheap publicity.

Nazri has also regarded Pupteksm's call for him to give up his Commercial Vehicle Licensing Board (CVLB) portfolio following his remark that the taxi service in the country was worse than the dirty public toilets as an "act of stupidity".

KUALA LUMPUR: Taxi drivers in the Klang Valley have demanded that Minister in the Prime Minister's Department, Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz withdraw his statement saying "the bad attitude of our taxi drivers is worse than our filthy public toilets."

Azmi Md Yatin, chairman of the Executive Taxi Owners Association of Malaysia, said although Nazri said only a small number had negative attitudes  like charging high fares and refusing to take passengers to far destinations his equating taxi drivers to toilets was an insult.
