After a few days of silence, the MCA has finally spoken out in favour of the usage of English in the teaching of maths and science.

Now, the party is considering making several proposals to the Cabinet to enhance the teaching of English subjects in vernacular primary schools and that English be the medium in the teaching of maths and science for Form 4 and 5 students.

It's mayor said litterbugs would be fined RM250 for discarding refuse in unauthorised places, and they are considering raising the penalty to RM1,000. "Council workers would even go to the extent of opening up refuse bags to find out, from discarded old envelopes, who had thrown the rubbish."
