SELANGOR police arrested three men in Kerian, Perak, early Sunday morning — in connection with the hijacking of a trailer laden with machinery worth RM1 million.

The arrest came a few hours after the hijacking near the Subang Jaya toll plaza.

Selangor police chief Datuk Khalid Abu Bakar said the drama unfolded at 8pm when one of the trailer’s tyres burst, forcing the driver to pull over by the roadside. The driver was heading for Port Klang when the incident occurred.
