PETALING JAYA: Should an accident occur on Jalan Tanjung Bandar Utama, who will be responsible? That is the predicament facing Bandar Utama City Corporation Sdn Bhd (BUCC), should the Jalan Tanjung Bandar Utama ramp on its land be opened to the public.

DESPITE Petaling Jaya City Council’s appeal for an extension of time against the sealing of Jalan Tanjung Bandar Utama to traffic, the developer remains adamant.

Jalan Tanjung Bandar Utama was closed since Monday when it should have become a one-way street from tomorrow for six months.

Council deputy mayor Puasa Md Taib said they had a meeting with Bandar Utama City Corporation Sdn Bhd (BUCC) two days ago.

PROTESTS by residents over the impending closure of Jalan Tanjung Bandar Utama, a private road belonging to Bandar Utama City Corporation (BUCC) are unnecessary, according to BUCC.

Its general affairs manager Paul Fernandez said the move to close the road had been endorsed by Petaling
Jaya City Council, as well as by State assembly man Elizabeth Wong.
