KOTA BAHARU: A light aircraft belonging to a private company is believed to have crashed in a padi field in Jelawat, Bachok today.

Bachok OCPD, DSP Yahya Salleh, in confirming the incident, said that the crash occurred at about 4.40pm but had not received information on the type of aircraft that had crashed.

He said information on the fate of the pilot and the number of passengers in the aircraft had yet to be received.

KOTA BAHARU: A motion pertaining to the oil royalty is expected to be tabled at the Kelantan state assembly sitting tomorrow to enable the issue to be taken to court, State Economic Planning, Finance and Welfare Committee chairman Datuk Husam Musa said today.

"I don't know what will be discussed by the assemblymen tomorrow. Maybe they will table a motion on the issue.

BACHOK: Just being able to collect RM34 million in taxes annually clearly shows that the Kelantan economy is in bad shape, said Deputy Finance Minister Senator Datuk Dr Awang Adek Hussin.

He said despite being rich in resources like gold, tin, oil and gas and good human capital, the PAS government in Kelantan had nothing to show in the 20 years it had been in power in the state.

KELANTAN police will go "all-out" to track down the state's unruly football fans who caused a ruckus during the Malaysia Cup football final between Kelantan and Negeri Sembilan at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur, on Nov 7.

Kelantan police chief Datuk Abd Rahim Hanafi said he had been contacted by Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Muhammad Sabtu Osman on the matter.

Muhammad had said that police were establishing the identity of the fans from the recording of the closed circuit television cameras at the stadium.

THE FA of Malaysia’s (FAM) ban on Kelantan’s home matches after the crowd trouble at the Sultan Mohd IV Stadium in Kota Baru is taking its toll on the team, says coach Peter Butler.

“We have been punished enough by the ban on home matches ... the ban has a ected the team 100 per cent,” said the Englishman, whose team have lost three league matches in a row since the defeat by Selangor in the FA Cup  nal last month.

KELANTAN are preparing for “life without Halim (Napi)” to continue their fairytale run in this year’s M-League and coach Peter Butler believes that his team can still go far in all competition without the former international.

The veteran 39-year old goalkeeper has probably seen the last of his football career after he punched and kicked Negri Sembilan defender Aidil Zafuan Abdul Razak after Kelantan’s 1-0 defeat in the first-leg FA Cup semifinal match on Tuesday.
