out who they are set to face in the knockout stages at the draw in Nyon, Switzerland.

European giants Inter Milan and AC Milan, as well as Bayern Munich could be drawn with English clubs after finishing second in their groups.

However, the Premier League sides will avoid the likes of reigning champions Barcelona and Real Madrid.

MANCHESTER UNITED could be about to move back into the transfer market — with a move for Toulouse ace striker Andre- Pierre Gignac being touted.

On Tuesday, the Red Devils completed the signing of Wigan Athletic midfielder Antonio Valencia for £16 million as they started to spend the £80 million (RM484.8m) windfall they received from the sale of Cristiano Ronaldo to Real Madrid.

PREMIER LEAGUE champions Manchester United are unlikely to meet Gremio’s £20 million (RM115.6) asking price for young and highly-rated Brazilian attacker Douglas Costa, according to the player’s agent.

Costa is believed to be a target for the Red Devils as they eye a replacement for Real Madrid-bound winger Cristiano Ronaldo.

Costa’s representative, Cesar Bottega, claimed “informal talks” have been held but feels Gremio could price the 18-year-old out of a deal.

MANCHESTER UNITED are set to use the £80 million (RM460m) they will receive for Cristiano Ronaldo to make a stunning bid for Liverpool ace striker Fernando Torres or ‘El Nino’.

The Express reported the Red Devils will attempt to make an audacious swoop for the Spain international as they seek to replace the Real Madrid-bound Ronaldo.

While Liverpool would be loath to see Torres leave, and particularly to bitter rivals United, the report claimed United boss Alex Ferguson is prepared to offer £40 million (RM230m), a figure he believes can tempt the Merseysiders.
