KUALA LUMPUR: Tengku Temenggong Kelantan Tengku Muhammad Fakhry Sultan Ismail Petra has sought the help of the Indonesian and United States embassies here to get three court judgments reach his estranged wife, Manohara Odelia Pinot.

His counsel Mohd Haaziq Pillay and Zainul Rijal Abu Bakar handed over the High Court judgments to a representative of the Indonesian embassy today and a representative of the US embassy yesterday.

KOTA BAHARU: The Syariah High Court today ordered Manohara Odelio Pinot to be loyal and pay back RM1,112,250 owed to her husband, Tengku Muhammad Fakhry Sultan Ismail Petra, the Tengku Temenggong of Kelantan.

In his judgement, Syarie Judge Mohd Yusof Awang said the order would be effective once Tengku Muhammad Fakhry took the "Yamin Istizhar" oath in court on Jan 3 next year.

He said Manohara would be compelled to be loyal within 14 days after Tengku Muhammad Fakhry took the oath and would have to return the money in lump sum within 30 days.

THE  Syariah High Court in Kota Baharu was told today that Manohara Odelia Pinot was never abused by her husband, the Tengku Temenggong of Kelantan, Tengku Muhammad Fakhry Sultan Ismail Petra.

Tengku Azwani Tengku Iskandar, 26, said the claims made by Manohara in a newspaper report that she was abused by her husband was not true.

"I was always with Manohara. If there was, she would have complained it to me," she said when questioned by Tengku Muhammad Fakhry's counsel, Zainul Rijal Abu Bakar, in the hearing of the prince's suit which sought Manohara to be loyal to him.

MANOHARA ODELIA PINOT, the wife of the Tengku Temenggong of Kelantan Tengku Muhammad Fakhry Sultan Ismail Petra, and her mother, were given until Nov 5 by the High Court here to appoint a lawyer, failing which a judgment in default would be made in the RM105 million defamation suit brought against them by the prince.

Lawyer Mohd Haaziq Pillay, who represented Tengku Muhammad Fakhry, told reporters that the date was fixed by Senior Assistant Registrar Shazali Hidayat Shariff in chambers.

CIK Puan Temenggong Kelantan Manohara Odelia, 17, and her mother were dealt another major blow yesterday when their lawyers abandoned them in the RM105 million defamation suit by her husband, Tengku Temenggong Kelantan Tengku Muhammad Fakhry.

Their legal firm succeeded in discharging itself from representing Manohara and her mother, Daisy Fajarina, on grounds that the defendants did not extend their full cooperation.

 

RUNAWAY princess Cik Puan Temenggong Kelantan Manohara Odelia has to be in Kota Baru early next month for the hearing of two suits filed by her husband.

 

Her controversial mother, Daisy Fajarina, 44, has also to be present for the hearing at the Kota Baru Syariah High Court on Nov 8 and Dec 20.

CIK Puan Temenggong Kelantan Manohara Odelia will contest the two suits filed by her husband despite failing to file her defence within the 14-day deadline granted by the Kota Baru Syariah High Court, says her lawyer Faiz Adnan.

Faiz said yesterday that Manohara, 17, and her mother Daisy Fajarina, 44, had not withdrawn from the cases and that they will go the distance.

On the 14-day deadline, Faiz said: “We will do something. I will get instructions from my client.”

MANOHARA Odelia, 17, and her mother have finally instructed a KL legal firm to represent them in the RM105 million defamation suit filed by her Kelantan prince husband.

Fakrul Hisham Abdullah & Associates yesterday informed the prince's legal firm Messrs J.S. Pillay & Mohd Haaziq that they have instructions from their clients to accept service of writ in connection with the suit.

This should bring some relief to Tengku Temenggong Kelantan Tengku Mohammad Fakhry whose efforts to clear his name had been hampered by his estranged wife's lawyers.
