WE complain our mattress is too hard, or the fan is busted, the air-conditioning needs servicing, and so on...

Yet, there are some who would welcome a chance to rest upon the hard mattress, in a room with or without a fan or air- conditioning.

Like this vagrant sleeping on the cold, hard, filthy cement pavement at Puduraya in Kuala Lumpur. Perhaps somewhere there is a family waiting for his return, perhaps there isn't.

ALL is set for Puduraya to be the landmark of KL after its upgrading works are completed by the end of next year.

UDA managing director Datuk Jaafar Abu Hassan said yesterday the company welcomed the Prime Minister's comments to upgrade the building for the comfort of the people.

MONEY that is invested in development must not only be spent to cater to present needs, it must also take into account future needs so that projects undertaken do not become obsolete.

BARELY a fortnight after announcing the Integrated Transport Terminal-Southern Sector (ITT-S) in Bandar Tasik  Selatan would be turned into a hub for all inter-State bus services, Minister in the Prime Ministers Department Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz has reversed his decision.

"I admit I was wrong. The era where the government knows best has ended. There is no point in making a decision and being stubborn in not wanting to retract earlier statements."
