SELVI of Setapak, Kuala Lumpur is upset with the attitude of a RapidKL bus driver.

"I am a regular passenger of the T302 bus which starts its journey from the Wangsa Maju LRT station but there is a particular driver on this route who, after parking his bus, will go to the resting area for drivers and make passengers who have lined up to board the bus wait for a long time," she says.

MALA of Kajang is disappointed by the irregular RapidKL U40 bus service. "I  live in Kajang and travel daily
on this service , which is now the only one shuttling commuters between Kajang and Kuala Lumpur. We used to also have the E2 express bus service for the route but it was terminated on Nov 16."

MALA claims that she has to wait for almost an hour or even longer for the U40 buses since. She also complains of buses not stopping to pick up passengers because they were already full.

She says complaints to the RapidKL helpline have been fruitless.

I would like to respond to the statement by RapidKL general manager of communication Ebi Azly Abdullah in The Malay Mail on Nov 19, when he explained the route change exercise was done to enhance their service to commuters.

As a regular public transport commuter, I have been taking RapidKL bus U60 from Puchong Utama to KL Sentral. I would then board the B110 to Jalan Raja Chulan, where my office is located.

UMADEVI of Batu Caves would like to know why there isn’t a direct bus from Batu Caves to Kota Raya. To get to Kota Raya, she said, residents would have to take a bus to Titiwangsa and from there, take another bus to Kota Raya.

While residents don’t mind paying the extra after the fare hike on Sept 1, they would like the convenience of taking one bus straight to Kota Raya, UMADEVI said.

RAPIDKL will extend its Helpline operating hours to 8pm daily, Mondays to Fridays. Commuters can now call 03-7625 6999 between 8.30am and 8pm daily for enquires and feedback related to its services.

RapidKL communications general manager Ebi Azly Abdullah said the extension is to give commuters more time to get information and provide feedback to RapidKL.
