RTM. The acronym Malaysians have to live with has been directed to "look into the live telecast of Parliament sessions" following criticism that the broadcasting station was selective in its telecasts.

The Deputy Dewan Rakyat Speaker said RTM should take note of the criticism. Earlier a BN MP told the House that he had received numerous telephone calls and text messages from the public complaining about the State-run television channel.

RTM has been fair to everyone. According to the Deputy Information, Communication and Culture Minister "news items were broadcast by the station based on certain criteria for worthiness, such as of national interest, they were current, had human interest elements and were of public interest. We have a committee that manages issues to determine their news worthiness".

"RTM covers all quarters, whether they are Barisan Nasional or not. For instance, we covered the recent Pas general assembly."
