IMAGINE getting nearly a thousand missed calls, 999 of them to be exact, and proclamations of “I love you” from a person you don’t even know.

A 32-year-old contractor and his family are now living in fear, following months of such alleged harassment from an unknown person.

Kajang municipal councillor Lee Ah Seng said the victim, who sought his help when things got worse, claimed the “crazy” woman had gone to the victim’s house on Tuesday and burnt “hell bank notes” as a “gift” to him.

POLICE have warned those spreading slanderous or inciteful SMSes over a quarrel at a school in Pontian, Johor.

The culprits risk arrest under the Sedition Act and Multimedia Act, among others, Johor police chief Datuk Mokhtar Shariff said.

Describing the case as minor, he said it was purposely blown out of proportion by irresponsible quarters.

Mokhtar said the police had the means to detect those who disseminated such SMSes.

He said police have obtained a court order to remand a man for three days to facilitate investigations into the incident.
