PETALING JAYA: Police have arrested another five men they believe are responsible for some 30 to 40 incidents of snatch theft here, in Kelana Jaya and in Seapark throughout this year.

PETALING JAYA: A suspected snatch thief died and his accomplice injured when their motorcycle was involved in an accident — an hour after the duo were reported to have seized a cellphone from a teenaged girl in Taman Sri Gombak on Wednesday.

When police arrived at the scene in Taman Greenwood, after receiving a report of an accident between a motorcycle and a car, they found that the motorcyclist had died on the spot while his pillion rider was badly  injured in the face.

In yet another vigilante car chase after a snatch theft, the female victim caught up with the suspect, lost control of the car she was driving and rammed into the man — killing him on the spot.

RESIDENTS of the Sri Ampang apartments in Jalan Sulaiman used the community policing programme to voice their concerns over activities like drug abuse and snatch thefts in their area. Among their concerns were the suspicious behaviour of an Iranian youth living in an apartment, who they believed was a drug addict and a drug pusher.
