PETALING JAYA: Sime Darby Property reiterated its stand on the Taman Subang Ria development plan saying the park is private property belonging to the group, and not a public park as claimed by certain quarters.

Its managing director, Datuk Tunku Putra Badlishah in a statement said, "We have every intention of upgrading the 53.66 acres of the said property as a recreational park and handing it over to the relevant authorities, who could then choose to gazette Taman Subang Ria as a green lung and public recreational park eventually."

As long as no one sticks his head out to help others — including our elected State Assemblyman — to get Subang Ria Park duly gazetted as a public recreation park and a green lung for the township in perpetuity,
