It's not often that the word fun or indeed stylish wanders into the title of a car review of a Hyundai but then again, Hyundai was recently referred to as the world's toughest car company by Fortune Magazine.

 

Together with sister company Kia, they have cunningly avoided the global economic downturn and posted record sales figures in almost every major market.

When pockets are empty and people are not in the mood to buy cars, Hyundai and Kia must be making offers that are difficult to refuse. In the car business, customers find it hard to refuse low prices and great value.

The Satria GTI with its lotus-tuned chassis was a great car. Fans have been waiting for a successor for years. Is the Satria Neo with a CPS engine the one?

We liked the chassis but the engine leaves us wanting.

Honda is a hallowed name among car buyers; their mass market models such as the City and Civic are considered as among the best in their class, in any market in the world.

Owners and drivers talk about Honda's engineering pedigree and motorsports history but are they just repeating Honda's marketing speak or are the claims genuine? Honda Malaysia thought it would be best if we found out for ourselves.

The best way to find out if a car has what it takes to cut it as a driver's car is to see how big a smile it can put on your face when on the track.
