PETALING JAYA: Government-linked private equity fund management company Ekuiti Nasional Berhad (Ekuinas) unveiled its Full Disclosure Policy and detailed Investment Framework and Guidelines this morning.

Chairman Raja Tan Sri Arshad Raja Tun Uda announced that Ekuinas will adopt a fair and comprehensive Disclosure Policy that has been developed and benchmarked against global practices after it conducted a detailed review of disclosure practices of leading global private equity and sovereign wealth funds.

KUALA LUMPUR: This festive season, city dwellers might notice the lack of Chinese New Year decorations on the streets, particularly the absence of red beaming lanterns.

Even though the much-celebrated festival is just four days away, some of the prominent and well-known streets in the city like those in the Bukit Bintang (Golden Triangle) area are without any festive decorations.

It also seems that the number of lanterns in the city has fallen when compared with previous years.

KUALA LUMPUR: Licensed Internet related service provider Macro Lynx Sdn Bhd this morning signed a collaborative partnership agreement with Maxis Berhad to provide ICT services to Malaysia's first grade A++ commercial centre GTower at Jalan Tun Razak here.

Macro Lynx chief operating officer Rick Ng said the tie-up will boost GTower's multimedia convergence capability, crucial for adapting to new ways of doing business in the 21st century.

KUALA LUMPUR: When baby Wong Wai Jing was born in December 2008 - after a decade of being a frozen embryo - her birth was believed to be a miracle and a record of sorts.

Now, the 14 months infant and her 47-year old mother have been officially recognised by the Malaysia Book of Records for the phenomenal feat.

Wai Jing, a cute 11kg toddler, has been listed as the female offspring of the first embryo frozen for the longest duration while her mother, June Tan, has been listed for gestating the first embryo frozen for the longest duration.

KUALA LUMPUR: Yet another dissenting voice in the Pakatan Keadilan Rakyat ranks has been heard with Nibong Tebal MP Tan Tee Beng claiming that Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng is not fit for the post.

The former Penang PKR information chief said deputy president Dr Syed Hussein Ali should also be referred to the central leadership for suspension.

"I don't like to see these kinds of diversions in the party because there are people who can't take criticism," he said at a Press conference in Jalan Ampang here this morning.

GOOD news for Touch n Go users!

From this month, purchase and reload of Touch n’ Go cards can be done at Lebuhraya Damansara Puchong's (LDP) Petaling Jaya Selatan toll lay-by (North-bound near the Esso station) and at  SPRINT's Bukit Kiara toll plaza (KL-bound).

These dedicated counters will provide greater convenience for road users and increase electronic toll collection usage on both highways.

The Touch n’ Go point-of-sale centres are open on Monday to Thursday from 8.30am to 4.30pm.

On Friday the hours are 8.30am to 5.15pm.

TENGKU of Puchong is frustrated with the long delay of a refund promised by P1 WiMAX after terminating her account.

According to the terms and conditions, P1 WiMAX shall refund all fees to the subscriber via mailed cheque within 45 days.

"I signed up for the package on Oct 18, 2009, and the items were returned to the P1 WiMAX's agent on Nov 4. The termination was later confirmed by them," says TENGKU.

On Dec 17 last year, he and his wife checked in two luggage and took a MAS flight from Kuala Lumpur to Mumbai, India.

According to him, repossessors of AmBank (M) Berhad showed up at his house on the morning of Jan 11 when they forcibly moved his car that was parked outside the front gate and triggered the car's alarm.

It was her first time printing such cards for herself, and GRACE chose Cadenza Printing  Sdn Bhd in Puchong Jaya based on a friend's recommendation.

She submitted the card design, paid a deposit and collected the cards after three days.
