Tunku Nadzimuddin: I just want this to end
“The pain still lingers. Every time I walk into a lift, I tend to visualise the whole episode. It's a scary feeling,” Tunku Nadzimuddin told Malay Mail after a Press conference in Damansara yesterday.
Tunku Nadzimuddin said he called for the Press conference because he wanted a closure to the altercation involving Tunku Ismail of Johor at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in KL on Oct 25 last year.
“The Press conference was my idea. Many things happened in between, my granddad (Tuanku Ja'afar Tuanku Abdul Rahman) passed away and I got married, so I feel now is the best time for us to speak up.”
Tunku Nadzimuddin, 37, was accompanied during the Press conference by his parents, father Tunku Datuk Mudzaffar Tunku Mustapha and mother Tunku Dara Naquiah Tuanku Ja'afar, his wife Nur Azini Mohd
Kamal, his uncle Tunku Imran Tuanku Ja’afar and friend Shamshud Dhuha.
The Negri Sembilan royalty expressed disappointment with the police for their “serious lack of affirmative action” and took the hotel to task for their passive attitude during the episode.
Tunku Nadzimuddin said he received outpatient treatment from the KL Hospital and lodged a police report at the Dang Wangi Station on Oct 26, 2008.
“I just want this to end,” he added.
