Lovesick SMS stalker terrifies contractor

IMAGINE getting nearly a thousand missed calls, 999 of them to be exact, and proclamations of “I love you” from a person you don’t even know.

A 32-year-old contractor and his family are now living in fear, following months of such alleged harassment from an unknown person.

Kajang municipal councillor Lee Ah Seng said the victim, who sought his help when things got worse, claimed the “crazy” woman had gone to the victim’s house on Tuesday and burnt “hell bank notes” as a “gift” to him.

“The contractor, who has two children aged two and a few months old, is now afraid to leave his home as he does not want his family left alone,” said Lee.

The victim also told Lee that a police report had been lodged but the menace continued. He said the victim had been receiving SMS text and missed calls from the woman since August. The messages and calls asked the man to accept the mystery woman's love while some appealed to him to divorce his wife.

“On Tuesday, the victim became suspicious when he saw a woman and a man outside his house burning some paper. Then, he remembered that the woman had said she would come by to give his family a surprise present,” said Lee.

When contacted, Kajang district police chief ACP Sakaruddin Che Mood said police have started investigations on the report.

“It doesn’t take one day for the phone companies to get back to us when we investigate such cases. However, we will see if this case amounts to criminal intimidation.”

Hard to believe that a complete stranger would stalk a guy who's not a celebrity. I agree there's no smoke without the fire......

If there's no smoke .. there's no fire. If there's no wind ... then the tree would not shake!
