Decoding Honda's genes

We look for the F1 legend in Honda's DNA

Honda is a hallowed name among car buyers; their mass market models such as the City and Civic are considered as among the best in their class, in any market in the world.

Owners and drivers talk about Honda's engineering pedigree and motorsports history but are they just repeating Honda's marketing speak or are the claims genuine? Honda Malaysia thought it would be best if we found out for ourselves.

The best way to find out if a car has what it takes to cut it as a driver's car is to see how big a smile it can put on your face when on the track.

Here we have the first two videos of our day out with Honda.

In the first video we take the Honda Civic Type R out onto the North track for three laps. We did this during the model's initial launch and this is a refresher of sorts. Enjoy

In the second video we capture Karamjit Singh's first track experience with the Type R. Want to know what the 10-time Malaysian Rally Champion thinks about the car? Well, you'll just have to watch the video and find out. At the end we have a one-lap tutorial of sorts for the North Circuit.
