TO BE HANGED: Ooi being led out of court after sentencing

SHAH ALAM: A contractor was sentenced to death for drug trafficking by the High Court here today.

Danial Ooi Abdullah, 47, was also given two years’ jail and two strokes of the rotan for drug possession.

He had been charged for committing the two offences on at 11.30pm on April 4 at Restaurant Hong Wu Food on Jalan Pekan Batu, Klang.

Ooi was charged under Section 39B(1)(a) of Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 for trafficking in 22.45gm of heroin and under Section 12(2) of the Act for possession of 3.05gm of monoacetylmorphines.
