PETALING JAYA: During the present school holidays, let dolphins and sea lions impress you with their water
antics and mathematical capabilities at the Dolphins and Sea Lions Show.

 

Two bottlenose dolphins — Rio and Karon — and sea lions — Gendon and Brad — will present a fun-filled showcase of aquatic acrobatics and cheeky antics to entertain families  and children at Sunway Pyramid. The show, which began on Dec 1, ends on Feb 7.

"The animals are star attractions at Jakarta's Ancol Dreamland Park," said LD Sports Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Adlan Zabri, adding that they are pleased to bring the renowed exhibition to Malaysia.

"The dolphins, both 15 years old, underwent two years of training before turning professional performers. The 10-year-old sea lions, on the other hand, are from Uruguay."

For the show, a custom-built tent has been erected at Sunway Pyramid's open air car park, next to the mall's new wing, where 500 visitors are expected daily.

"The Dolphins and Sea Lions Show adds a new dimension for shoppers, where families can spend more time
together with their children," said Sunway Pyramid chief executive officer Chan Hoy Choy.

"Pet these charismatic animals, kiss them, shake their pectoral fin and let them take you on a boat ride...
come and see these likeable marine creatures."

Visitors can look forward to a 45-minute spectacle that includes tricks, such as the sea lions' handstand moves and the dolphins' double back flips.

Shows are scheduled for 3.30pm, 6.30pm and 9.30pm on weekdays and 11.30am, 3.30pm, 6.30pm and
9.30pm on weekends and public holidays.

Tickets are priced at RM50 for adults and RM30 for children aged 12 and below and can be purchased at www.ticketpro.com.my.

MyKad holders are entitled to a 20 per cent discount while Sunway Pyramid shoppers are entitled to a 30 per cent discount with purchases of RM250 in a single receipt or a combination of two receipts on the same day.

Sunway Lagoon Resort  hotel guests will also enjoy a 30 per cent discount.

The Dolphins and Sea Lions shows will head to the Sunway Carnival in Penang from Feb 10 to March 9, followed by a final stint at the Lost World of Tambun, Ipoh from March 12 to April11.
