PETALING JAYA: The Attorney-General (A-G) Chambers will charge an engineer with Kuala Dimensi Sdn Bhd (KDSB) Low Jenn Dong on Monday over Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ).

A-G Tan Sri Abdul Gani Patail said more people would be charged with few more individuals expected to be arrested next week.

Former general manager of Port Klang Authority (PKA) Datin Paduka Oi Choo Phang, better known as OC Phang along with architect Bernard Tan and KDSB chief operating officer Steven Abok were charged Thursday.

They were first batch to be charged with criminal breach-of-trust (CBT) in the scandal, two years after suspicions surfaced about shady deals behind the construction of the country’s landmark PKFZ.

Abdul Gani said his office, together with the police and Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) have been conducting investigations into PKFZ the past several months.

He added that those connected that included politicians, civil servants and lawyers had been questioned.

“There are lots of issues involved — legal and factual - that involved money laundering, commercial crime and corruptions are being investigated which are not only complex but require substantial amount of man-hours of evidence gathering.

“To this end, both agencies (MACC and the police) have joined forces in working together to comb and sieve all materials available to establish a case against the perpetrators.

"The charges are just the beginning.

"They must be made answerable for their roles and actions.

"I decided to prefer charges against these individuals today as I could not wait for the authorities to complete their investigations into the whole scheme as that would take a long time.

"The charging of other individuals will come in stages,” added.

I personally believe she is just a small fry or a proxy in the whole mess up......try looking up and probably you will see a consortium involved. No need to strip the datuk from her as it would mean many more would have to be stripped of the title
