BEING part of the Black Eyed Peas is all about family and friendship as told by the Peas themselves. Though the Peas, Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift and Zee Avi are not part of the same family, but they can be lumped together as some of the movers and shakers of the industry.

That's why there is now a compilation — Power Hits 4 — that gathers all these acts together in one album. Looking at the answers they give for interviews, it seems as if some of the acts are singing the same tune of togetherness and being true to one's self.

"To be in the Black Eyed Peas means family and friendship. We love music, music saved our lives. So it's pretty much a bond, family and friendship and we express our appreciation through music," said Will.I.Am.

Citing Ipanema Beach, Brazil as one of their most memorable performances, the Peas are still overwhelmed by the million-strong crowd that turned out.

"Listening to a million people singing along, that energy was frightening, it was exciting, surreal and it made me really pin point what the music that we create does to a lot of people," said Taboo.

Another crowd pumper who started from the underground is Lady Gaga, who is currently enjoying a large success.

Making the transition from the club scene to being a full-fledged artiste doesn't seem to make much difference for the lady as it's what she has always been doing.

"I feel like I've always been an artiste and that I became more of an artiste when I started to play out all the time, downtown. It really wasn't till I got signed to Interscope and I got a tiny bit more famous in New York that I really became more of a dance scene artiste out in the clubs than before.

"Right around the time I got signed, I almost got arrested in Chicago for wearing short shorts, I was in a dummy magazine and on a cover of a women's daily. When I started being what I really am, a provocative exhibitionist, somebody that does things for attention, pretty shamelessly, that's when I’m like 'ok, just be who you are, that's your artistry'."

For those who can't get enough of Black Eyed Peas and Lady Gaga, you can find them in the latest Power Hits 4, which features the songs I Gotta Feeling and Paparazzi.

Besides them, the compilation also features Taylor Swift's You Belong With Me, Mariah Carey's Obsessed and our very own Zee Avi's Bitter Heart.
