MUHARYANI of Subang Jaya says she was overcharged for her Jan 8 to Feb 8 water bill. As the Selangor government gives the first 20 cubic metres of water free, she is confused how the amount could have escalated.

As she lives alone, MUHARYANI says all this while, she has been getting bills with the deducted amounts.

Recently, she was surprised to receive one for RM366.90. She believes it might be the result of some  underground leakage or incorrect billing.

LYNETTE recently made an online booking with Malaysia Airlines (MAS) for her husband and herself but failed to include their middle names, as there was no indication for her to do so.

She says there are only instructions to enter the first name on the first line and the surname on the second line.

LYNETTE says MAS' online booking system does not request passport details or state that the names should tally with what is stated in it.

"When I printed the e-tickets, I noticed the errors and immediately contacted the MAS Call Centre," she says.

RESIDENTS of dengue hot spots in Kuala Lumpur are advised to ensure that their environment is taken care of properly, including ridding their areas of any potential breeding grounds for aedes mosquitos.

GIRI of Kuala Lumpur claims Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) has been slow to issue him a cheque for the difference between his original loan and  the refinancing of his loan for an apartment in Kota Warisan Sepang.

"When I bought the apartment five years ago, I obtained a housing loan from BSN and they approved it within four months," he says.

"Last year, I applied for a refinancing of the loan on a longerterm basis so that I could get some cash from the  difference between my original loan and the new loan as I need money for further studies."

AZEEZAH of Cheras, Kuala Lumpur, alleges slow service by Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM).

"On Jan 29, I submitted an application to TM for the transfer of my Internet and fixed phone line connections
from my old apartment in Bayu Tasik 1 Condominium to my new apartment in Cengal Condominium," she says.

"They promised to do so within seven days."

Fed up of waiting, she enquired about the status of her application three times and each time she was told that a contractor would be appointed to install the wiring.

NADARAJAH of Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur, is anxious about the out-of-order traffic lights at a pedestrian crossing in Jalan Maarof, Bangsar.

"I work in a restaurant near the pedestrian crossing and I have witnessed many times the difficulties people face while trying to cross the road due to the faulty traffic lights which has not been working for over a week," he says.

"On many occasions, I have gone out of the restaurant to assist elderly people to cross the road as I cannot bear watching them risking their lives."

"I have been using Michelin tyres since 1984 for all my cars but the Pilot Sport 2 series has been disappointing as, after about 20,000km, the sidewall of two of these four tyres are bulging," he says, adding that he currently uses two sporty Mercedes-Benz cars.

RICHARD, the building manager of the Vista Indah Putra Apartments in Klang, fears that Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Syabas) may cut off water supply to them as, up to March 3, the management company has yet to pay RM66,865.40 to the water supplier.

"Sixty per cent of the apartment residents have paid their share for the water bill, and we urge the remaining 40% to do so without delay or all residents will be without water as early as next week."

VIJAY of Kuala Lumpur claims his new Mitsubishi Lancer is problem-plagued and is unhappy with the after-sales service from the manufacturer and authorised dealer he bought the car from.

"Two days after collecting the car in June 2008, it broke down and I was told the gearbox had malfunctioned," he says, adding that the car was in the workshop for a month before it was repaired.

When his car reached 10,000km, he sent it for servicing at the appointed service centre and collected it back the same day.

"Last year, I opened a savings account at a United Overseas Bank branch and deposited RM20," he says.

IN conjunction with Le Tour de Langkawi 2010, some parts of the Cheras-Kajang Highway will be closed from 10.15am to 10.45am on March 6.

The affected stretch will be from Kuala Lumpur to the Hulu Langat Interchange (Exit 702) and traffic will be diverted to use the Telekom Interchange (Exit 703) and the road will be partially closed from Kajang and Simpang Balak (Exit 707A) to Kuala Lumpur.

MARIA of Kepong says she is not satisfied with the service at the 7-Eleven outlet at Dataran 3 Dua in Section 19, Petaling Jaya.

"On Feb 17, I went to the 24-hour store to buy a bottled drink which costs RM3.20. When I handed over a RM50 note to the cashier, I was told the payment could not be accepted because they did not have small change," she says.

LEE of Kuala Lumpur claims that Malaysia Airlines' (MAS) online booking system is not user-friendly and is especially confusing to foreign-born customers.

"Recently, my Vietnameseborn wife booked four MAS tickets from KL to Hanoi for my family via the national carrier's online booking system" he says.

TAN of Petaling Jaya took an interest in acquiring an Asean Pass from Malaysia Airlines (MAS), as he frequently flies to Asean destinations for business meetings. The pass offers four trips for only RM1,049 and is valid for six months.

"I called the MAS general ticketing toll-free number for more details on the pass, and was told that after I buy it, I have to identify the dates and flight numbers I wish to travel on," he says.
