YOUNG, talented and very popular in her home country, the Phillipines, 22-year-old Sarah Geronimo will be gracing our shores this weekend as her Live in Malaysia concert debuts at Stadium Badminton Cheras Kuala Lumpur.

The concert, which takes place on Sunday Jan 24 will also feature Filipino ballad-pop heartthrob Mark Bautista.

Geranimo took part in a singing contest at the tender age of six, which won her the first prize. But her claim to fame came in 2003 when she won the Star for a Night contest.

She walked away with a million pesos and was given the title Pop Star Princess. That same year, not only did she release her debut album Popstar: A Dream Come True, she even held a concert of the same title.

In 2004, Geranimo tried her hand in acting by starring in a drama series called Sarah, the Teen Princess. From then on, she has been extremely busy with her career, always in between singing and acting.

Her fame continued to grow internationally as she began staging shows in countries such as Taiwan, Canada, Alaska, and Dubai.

Geranimo even had a concert tour in the US for a month, which garnered a huge public demand, prompting her to hold a second tour. On Dec 1, 2009, Geranimo's name was included in the Philippine’s Walk of Fame with 30 other celebrities.
