The Killers Asia Tour CANCELLED!
PETALING JAYA: The Asia Tour for American alternative rock band, The Killers (pic), has been cancelled.
At Press time, there was still no proper explanation given by the organisers.
It was not only the Singapore leg that has been cancelled but Beijing, Hong Kong, Manila, Tokyo and Seoul as well.
Malaysian fans who have bought tickets to the concert will soon find themselves in a fix as they will only be informed upon their arrival at the Singapore National Stadium.
The show was scheduled to be held this Sunday.
Initially thinking that the whole cancellation was a prank, the lucky few that managed to catch the news before heading to Singapore were still reeling in anger as they could not fathom the reason for the decision.
"Are you really kidding me? If this is a prank..." was all Joseph Kaos Jr, The Malay Mail's resident The Killers fan could muster upon hearing about the news.
When contacted, The Malay Mail intern Mohd Ariff Azmi could only respond: "What? But I'm already on the bus, heading south!"
In a statement issued to the media, the band apologised for this sudden turn of events and hoped they would be able to reschedule their shows in the designated cities soon.
In the meantime, full refunds will be available from SISTIC, the event's ticket agency, via point of purchase.
Refunds will be administered at the SISTIC Box Office from Jan 27 to Feb 7. The refund hours are from Tuesday to Saturday (12pm to 8pm) and Sunday (1pm to 7pm).
Refunds will be made in full and inclusive of the SGD3 SISTIC booking fees, through the original mode of payment.
For those who had purchased tickets from SISTIC's overseas Authorised Agents, please contact them directly for further details.
