KULIM MP ZULKIFLI NORDIN: 'I'M PREPARED FOR ANY POSSIBILITY'

KHALID: Had said earlier that Selangor enactment prohibiting non-Muslims from using the word 'allah' and other Islamic terms was outdated
In a posting in his blog, lhttp://zul4kulim.blogspot.com, the lawyer said he would not budge from his stand on the 'allah' issue, and was ready for "any possibility".
"I don't bow down to Anwar, PKR or anyone. God willing, if they sack me, then I'll keep my options open."
"The hue and cry made in various media statements (against me) is a clear indicator that I am already being punished although there has yet to be any proceedings against me. Looks like the little Napoleons are barking here and there, demanding for my head!" he wrote.
"I have firmly stated that I will never compromise on this issue on the wrong usage of the word 'allah'. I am prepared for any possibility.
"My sin was only to defend the sovereignity of the word 'allah' from being desecrated by the groups that deify politics. (To them) politics allows whatever methods, even if it means sacrificing wives and children; politics is god even if Allah must be stepped on."
Zulkifli said at the time of his posting, he had yet to receive any notice to attend proceedings by PKR's disciplinary council or political bureau, which was reportedly scheduled to convene today to decide on the course of action to be taken against him.
"Until today, I have yet to be summoned to give an explanation or to defend myself," he said.
"I was informed that there is to be a special briefing by Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim for all wakil rakyat and PKR's top leadership this morning in regards to his sodomy trial that will begin next week. On that, I have already informed that I cannot attend as I have a prior engagement that cannot be cancelled."
On Saturday, Zulkifli had lodged a police report against Shah Alam MP Khalid Samad on the latter's statement that a Selangor enactment which prohibited non-Muslims from using the word "allah" and other Islamic terms was outdated.
This had led to PKR leader Anwar questioning why Zulkifli never took his grievances to the party leadership.
Anwar had also said that Zulkifli would face disciplinary action.
An online news portal had also reported that PKR supreme council member Datuk Zaid Ibrahim had called for Zulkifli's sacking.
Joining the chorus was party deputy president Syed Husin Ali, who had said that Zulkifli's "selfish" actions were not aimed at solving the problem and had inadvertently aided Umno.
However, Zulkifli said he was not concerned if the party decided to sack him, as he was "Muslim first and party member second".
"I may join another party, but Islam comes first and foremost for me."
Zulkifli argued that the use of the world 'allah' by non-Muslims in the Malay edition of the Catholic publication Herald was "an issue that threatened the social fabric of Malaysia and was not a political matter"

To BADAN TA'SEDAP, A verse in Surah Al Isra' reminded Nabi (and his followers ) to say in sya Allah ( Literally God willing ) whenever he made claims or statements on future efforts or incidents.A practice carried out by Muslims since 1400 years ago. Contrary to your perception, the name of Almighty should always be invoked at all times more so if the intended action is perceived and BELIEVED by the statement maker as an effort to do something good..
Whether it is s....y or other'vile "acts, as a lawyer who believed that DSAI was wronged, YB Zul has the right to strive to defend. This effort (action ) is complemented by a prayer ( doa ) of Insya Allah( God wills it--to be victory or otherwise,) Our prophet taught us that every iota of action and happenings be it good or bad are willed by God.Things will not happen if He does not will it.
