Issue On Occupants Of KTM Longhouses At Pantai Dalam Resolved
KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 61 families occupying the Keretapi Tanah Melayu (KTM) longhouses at Pantai Dalam, whose names were not in the list of compassionate aid recipients for voluntarily moving out of the settlement last year, received the payment tonight.
The families received a cheque for RM1,000 each from Federal Territories and Urban Well-being Minister Datuk Raja Nong Chik Raja Zainal Abidin at Lembah Pantai here.
A total of 1,153 families from the longhouses in area C, Jalan Kubur Pantai Dalam, received the payment in October last year.
Explaining the delay, Raja Nong Chik said it was due to the time taken by the Kuala Lumpur City Hall to verify their names.
Also present at the function was DBKL director-general Datuk Salleh Yusup.
