The Killers stabbed fans' hearts

Before the cancellation of The Killers Asia Tour last week, there were already rumours going rife about lead singer Brandon Flowers quitting the group for a solo career.

While the PR team was having a field day doing damage control on the sudden decision to cancel, nothing much has been done to appease their fans, except to fuel the rumour that this decision may very well be the result of a messy break-up.

Meanwhile, statements have been released worldwide on Jan 22 stating that this was due to unforeseen circumstances.

Another statement was released on The Killers' official website the next day, stating that circumstances involved the serious illness of a close family member.

The Killers had promised to reschedule their shows in Singapore, Beijing, Hong Kong, Manila, Tokyo and Seoul as soon as possible but have not given any confirmed dates.

One thing is for sure, they are on an indefinite hiatus.

The Killers were supposed to have kick started their Asian tour in Singapore on Jan 24, but two days prior to the show, there was a sudden announcement for the cancellation. Many Malaysian fans, who were making their way to Singapore for the concert had only reached down south to find out that their favorite band was not performing.

While many are still reeling in the disappointment of not being able to catch The Killers live, fans can make do (in the meantime) with The Killers Live From The Royal Albert Hall, available now at a low price with the DVD Bonanza promotion.

A single DVD is sold at RM39.90, double disc live dvd is sold at RM43.90 and triple disc DVD is sold at RM89.90. Other titles include Nirvana Live at Reading, Bon Jovi live at Madison Square Garden, and ABBA in Japan.

The promotion will only last till the end of this month.

The killers aren't breaking up. The band has released an indefinite amount of statements saying that they are not splitting up and never intend to do so, they do NOT constantly fight, brandon does NOT want a solo career, ever, and they're very interested in continuing to make music together for a long time. They are simply taking a hiatus because they've been on the road and in the studio for about five years straight now. It's definitely deserved. The cancellations have nothing to do with the hiatus and certainly are not the signs of a break up. Please get your information straight before posting articles that will undoubtedly spread untrue rumors.

FYI - They are not on hiatis yet. Unfortunately they did cancel the Asia leg of the tour, but they will be doing 5 gigs in Australia starting Feb. 12th. After that they will be on hiatis. I was blessed to see them 4 times this year in the states. My heart goes out the all the fans that were let down. Believe me, when you do get to see them...it will be worth the wait. Have a Killer Day...Victim Blue Eyes
