Another PKR man slams Guan Eng

Wednesday, February 3rd, 2010 13:11:00

KUALA LUMPUR: Yet another dissenting voice in the Pakatan Keadilan Rakyat ranks has been heard with Nibong Tebal MP Tan Tee Beng claiming that Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng is not fit for the post.

The former Penang PKR information chief said deputy president Dr Syed Hussein Ali should also be referred to the central leadership for suspension.

"I don't like to see these kinds of diversions in the party because there are people who can't take criticism," he said at a Press conference in Jalan Ampang here this morning.

"I have had enough of lies. It's unfair to PKR. The disciplinary board and central leadership council should meet to reconsider who should go first," he said, referring to himself and Syed Hussein.

On his diatribes against Lim, Tan said they were on policies and not individuals.

"People may brand me all sorts of names but it doesn't matter to me."

He said Lim has yet to answer to criticisms against him.

"Instead, he got Jelutong MP Jeff Ooi and some other people to answer. Why doesn't Lim clarify things himself? How can he lead by example?"

Tan also urged voters to choose those who can work and not who they are, pointing out that of the four PKR MPs, three reside in Kuala Lumpur while he is the only one operating from the island.

"Lim's arrogance has disgraced the image of Penang and people are starting to doubt him. Ten years ago, I was sacked by Gerakan because of my attack on (Tan Sri) Koh Tsu Koon and it took nine years for the people to realise the truth.

"Now, Lim is very arrogant. He doesn't listen to local leaders and this will result in a hefty price for Penang. I hope this will not take people another eight years to vote him out."

In a report yesterday, Tan claimed Syed Hussein sent him an SMS yesterday, telling him to stop his criticisms.

"He said what I am doing would paint a bad image of the party. I have not replied the SMS."

Tan also vowed to continue speaking his mind and was prepared to face the party disciplinary committee.

On Sunday, Tan threw his support behind Bayan Baru MP Datuk Seri Zahrain Mohd Hashim in the latter’s spat with the Penang CM, going a step further by labelling Lim “a leader without class who practised vengeful politics ".

It is never ever easy to work with a political dynasty like DAP which has a father, son and daughter in law in its powerful ranks. Bet you that even the kids are slowly being groomed to lead Demokrasi Aku Punya! Maybe downliner and potential DAP leaders are also frustrated that they will never ever be in power to lead the party now that Lord Guen Eng is becoming more and more the heir to DAP? Lord Guan Eng or LGE should lead Malacca but Malaccans know better that to choose a leader but sadly Penangites are willing to allow outsiders to lead Penang.

Is Penang short of leaders? Economic investments are normally planned years in advance and just because LGE came into power the last 2 years, it does not mean that it was LGE was the person who brought investments into Penang! Lord Kit Siang was and is always a dictator when leading Demokrasi Aku Punya party...so what IS new here? Penangites SHOULD lead Penang..like any other states!

Guan Eng has done a very good job for Penang and his government is very transparent in decisions and giving out projects. He spends wisely and has attracted mor investment opportunities to Penang than during BN govt, and practice fair governmentship to all races.

Those who called Guan Eng negatively if one studies them are actually selfish and greedy ADUNs, and also possessing a 'kampung' mentality. Zahrain blasted Guan Eng because Guan Eng doesn't agree to a RM2 company which Zahrain has a big interest in it to make money for himself. As for Nibong Tebal Tan, I have been hearing a lot about this guy 'true' personality, and him being a family man, but I cant confirm it as hearsay. Anyway, he is a proxy for Gerakan out to destroy Guan Hin & DAP.

I'm not from Penang so here you go, btw , fit or not fit is not up for us to determine, the whole rakyat voted for this party and if that works, I think the people will be too happy for it. If it does not, then vote wisely in the next election. we're quite sick of the bickering of different "people" trying to complain this and that, all whine, no dine, makes an MP out of time. they should be out of the politics for not serving the states well. that is enough when is it enough.

I am not affiliated to any poitical party or NGO. I visited Penang for the Christmas holidays. I must say Penang is much cleaner then it use to be.

Ofcourse where road works and other development are taking place the place is a little messy and this understandable but otherwise it is cleaner and safer then it use to be..I manage to chat up with the locals and I found practically all the people of Penang spoke highly of Guan Heng.Frankly, Guan Heng is doing a good job in Penang however he should realise that he is in politics and he have no choice but to face the political reality.

The people of Penang knows very well who are the culprits and what are they up to.Guan Heng should stay firm and face thechallenge. It will only make Guan Heng stronger and wiser every other day.Whatever said Guan Heng should also realise his predicament and quickly come to terms with the realities of politics in Penang.Remember politics is a game of shrewdness and master execution.Image of been straight forward man, sincere, clean and transparent may be good attributes for a monk but not for a politician. If PKR stab your back join BN this is what the former chief minister of Penang Dr.Lim Chong Yu did.You have nothing to lose join BN and the people of Penang will not be too disappointed.

so what if Lim is a dictator? As long as he can "deliver" the results, that what ends matter! It's only those who talk and talk but cannot walk the talk are making noises or complain, simply put it, if you cannot deliver, please leave the party or "boot" out.

There's not room for non-performing MPs or whatever, whoever you are trying to stick into the party or organisation trying to stay put when you know you cannot "perform". so out you go, so many noisy people, I think the Rakyat is sick of people who know how to complain but cannot deliver. out you go!

LGE practiced selective actions on small unlicenced traders! if he wants to be transparent, the law must be applied to every body. to label him as a communist is a bit too much but he is not that far of being one.

That's the problems. There are no results from LGE. He fails miserably. I can understand your biasness as you are a Chinese but you must admit that he fails to deliver the results to Penangites. When I say Penangites it doesn't mean only the Chinese. He fails the Indian community there (Kg Buah Pala) and also Malays (the recent fruit premise whereas the Chinese premise free to operate even though the same situation applies). It seems he only concern to be the CM of the Chinese. When people criticize him he labels them as BN/UMNO agents. So much for freedom of speech he even ban Utusan from reporting. When no investment comes to Penang he blamese Koh Tsu Koon instead of using his god given brain to solve the problem. So you tell me whether he is fit to be CM?

Hi MyMalaya, Please know your facts before you start commenting on the Kg. Buah Pala issue. For your information, it was BN who handed down the Kg. Buah Pala issue to PR. It was those greedy BN politicians who sold the land off and not PR. LGE has tried all his best to minimize the loss of the community in Kg Buah Pala by negotiating with the developer of the land and get houses for the families of Kg Buah Pala. It was reported that LGE was wrongly advised when he told the Kg Buah Pala community that he will help them before the General Election. Yes, you might say LGE asked his aide to take the blame for not able to help those people but i doubt you have any valid reasons to doubt so. Secondly, please do not try raising any racial sentiments here. I have no intention in commenting at all but you who keep raising up the name of the Chinese in your comment. Plus, if there's no results of LGE, why would the locals speak highly of him? I'm from Penang and I'm telling you now that Penang has never been better when it was under the rule of BN.
