Chong Wei wants All-England title

JOHOR BARU: Inspired by winning titles on foreign and local fronts, top shuttler Lee Chong Wei has shifted his attention and focus on winning the All-England title where he is expected to meet China's World Championship winner and Olympic gold medallist Lin Dan in the final.

Fresh from his victory in the National Grand Prix Finals, the 28-year-old Penangite, who also won the Korean and Malaysian Open last month, said it has been a fantastic start for him thus far this year.

"But all that will take a backseat for now. My focus is the All-England. I am not going to get distracted by anything. I may have won the season's first two Super Series titles but it has not changed anything for me.

"Even during the short break for the Chinese New Year, I will keep fit by training on my own. I will not indulge in any big celebrations when I return to Penang to be with my family."

Chong Wei, added he will jog and do other light workouts to maintain his fitness level when he resumes centralised training.

"Of course I will keep a strict watch on my diet. This means I'll have to sacrifice some of the rich Chinese delicacies and food."

Barring any upset, there is a great possibility that Chong Wei will meet Lin Dan in the final.

"Everyone is talking about Lin Dan and our possible clash at the All- England. I am not getting distracted by all these talks," added Chong Wei.
