Cambiasso hails Inter's strikeforce

MILAN: Inter Milan midfield maestro Esteban Cambiasso reserved special praise for the Nerazzurri strikeforce after their resounding 3-0 win over Cagliari in a Serie A match last weekend that enabled the champions to maintain their eight-point cushion at the top of the table.

"My compliments go out to our strikers, they did really well," the Argentine told his club’s website. "And the team also did well in sending out a strong signal at the start of the game as that troubled our opponents."

Inter took the lead just six minutes in courtesy of Goran Pandev before Walter Samuel and Diego Milito rounded off a dominant display. Jose Mourinho's men will be back in action tomorrow when they visit Parma in a rescheduled league match.

"We travel to Parma and luckily it’s a short trip,"said Cambiasso, a former Real Madrid man. "We’ll go there with the desire to get three more points and further stretch our lead."

Milito, another Argentine, is in fine form at this moment. He has now scored 14 goals to be Inter's topscorer.
