KUALA LUMPUR: Three secondary school students were detained by the police after allegedly robbing a foreigner in Selayang yesterday.

Gombak district police chief ACP Abdul Rahim Abdullah said the victim, a 31-year-old Pakistani, was walking in the area at about 10.35am when the four boys, who were in school uniform, approached him.

The students then assaulted the foreigner and robbed him of his handphone, a photostat copy of his passport and RM130 before fleeing.

He said policemen who were on patrol in the area saw the incident and went after the students, but managed to apprehend only three of them.

The students would be remanded until Friday and police were looking for the fourth student, he added.

Bring back the cane and set conditions to PTAs so that they dont interfere in what teachers do when disciplining students. PTAs must be blamed too... students are now bullies BIG time so much so that even teachers are scared of going hard on them or else police reports will be made against them!

I'd say it was the fault of the students themselves. It's really sad to see how delinquent children are behaving these days. They are no better than adult criminals. But it's not right for us to point fingers as we dont know them. For all we know, they might have been taught well by their parents/teachers! In any event, it's just down to their own doings. Might be due to peer pressure or just mere lack of common sense or maybe they come from poor families & decided to resort to stealing to get more "pocket money" or maybe they did it for mere entertainment! I am pretty sure that there are many other possible reasons (which I cant think of at the moment) because Im simply appalled by their lack of judgment & rash behaviour!

Whose fault? The parents, the teachers or the students?
