Women's private SPAce
Located at A-1-9, Pelangi Square Business Centre, PJU 6, Persiaran Surian, the spa caters for a strictly female clientele which eliminates any doubt of hanky-panky as well as any accidental encounters with half-dressed members of the opposite sex.
At first glance, the spa layout is simple and functional with little touches added in by the owner Jane Teh to spruce up the place.
The consultants present were also friendly, knowledgeable and not pushy.
For first timers at the place, Teh recommended the Ravissante's Deluxe Signature Spa which cost RM228 for customers who are trying it for the first time.
First treatment was the Delicious Mango Scrub (nett price: RM98). Brought to a room with a bed and a jacuzzi tub, the treatment started with a rubdown. The concoction used really did smell quite delicious, like candy!
This was followed by a Romantic Rose Sea Salt Bath (nett price: RM88). One special thing about the soak in the jacuzzi was that halfway through it, someone would bring pastry and coffee which would make anyone feel superbly pampered!
After the bath, there was a one hour Aromatheraphy Massage (nett price: RM158) and a Ella Bache Signature Facial (nett price: RM140) which were included in the package.
The Ella Bache Signature Facial is a 60-minute treatment, using products from Ella Bache's Radiance Recipe that starts with a double cleansing scrub (Gommage Delicate) steam, extraction, mask (Soir De Fete), toning and moisturiser (Crème Tomate amd Elixir D'Eclat). The effects were instantly visible, leaving skin softer and more radiant.
Teh explained that they use Ella Bache products which translates to facial and body recipes as the ingredients are all good enough to eat.One of the not-to-miss treatments found at the spa would be Ravissante's Traditional Bamboo Cupping Treatment.
"Cupping is a method of applying acupressure by creating a vacuum next to the patient's skin. Cupping is an ancient Chinese technique of healing that has long been a part of traditional Chinese medicine.
"This treatment is traditionally used to remove "wind" from the body especially after pregnancy and is remarkably good to treat back, neck, shoulder, and many other musculoskeletal pains," said Teh.
After trying out the said bamboo cupping, this writer's body felt relaxed and less tense.
One word of advice though, this treatment might leave hickey-like marks on your back which takes a couple of days to fade so if you are planning on wearing anything backless anytime soon, it is not a good time to experiment.
On top of that, Ravissante also has a whole range of anti-ageing and fat reduction treatments.
"'Ravissante' means ravishingly beautiful in French and here we believe that every woman is beautiful and deserves to be pampered," said Teh.
