PETALING JAYA: The Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD) committee paid a visit to The Malay Mail office yesterday.

The visit was led by SPAD chief executive officer Mohd Nur Ismal Mohamed Kamal, who was accompanied by chief operating officer Shahril Mokhtar, manager Leong Shen-li, deputy manager Alita Suraya Mohamed Senawi and SPAD deputy manager of communication Badri Ibrahim.

"The Malay Mail is the first media company we're visiting," said Badri.

Seeking to cultivate a better understanding of how the media operates, he said: "We also want a better understanding between the media and SPAD."

Badri said it was important to have such a relationship as SPAD was a commission serving the public, just like the media. "It is vital for us to have such a good relationship as we need the media to disseminate accurate information to the public."
