THIRD EYE: Gold Rush , Golf Sense . Tun Doctor
GOLD RUSH
ALL that glitters is not gold. However this cliché might not stop the hordes rushing to Kampung Jelutong, Pendang. According to the Minerals and Geoscience Department, "the yellow-golden specks found in the rocks in Kampung Jelutong, Pendang are not gold". The glitter comes from less valuable minerals, pyrite and arsenopyrite.
"It's not gold and is commonly known as ‘fool's gold'. This mineral is usually found in shale in the State."
People converged on the site after a quarry worker found gold-like specks in rocks last Wednesday. Even the MB was reported to have said that if it was in fact gold, the State government would have a new source of revenue.
Kedah could invest in entrepreneurship instead, YB.
GOLF SENSE
BUNKER. The PM has asked ministers and deputy ministers to show in their work the prowess they show in golf. Speaking at the closing ceremony of a golf competition between the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin Selection and Prime Minister Selection at the Kota Permai Golf Resort, he also said that the sport was capable of fostering cordial relations among ministers and deputy ministers.
"What is important is that we should be able translate our prowess in golf into skills in discharging our duties in our respective ministries," he said.
In attendance were the Tengku Sri Temenggong Raja Terengganu, Yang Dipertua Negeri Melaka and others.
More time for elected officials on the green, YAB?

He also recognises their role in safeguarding the country's peace and harmony," he said. Meanwhile, the Education Ministry announced it is providing free school uniforms and bags to 6,142 primary, secondary and religious schools in Manik Urai where a by-election is coincidentally taking place.
