Stun gun sellers remanded
THE two men caught selling stun guns at Jalan Pasar in Pudu in a raid by Kuala Lumpur police on Wednesday are being held in remand until Monday.
“We will monitoring the sale of stun guns because we do not want them to get into the wrong hands.These stun guns are absolutely dangerous,” Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Muhammad Sabtu Osman said. Police have also warned the public not to buy stun guns because as they could endanger lives if not used corrrectly.
Criminals could also use them to commit crime. The two stun gun sellers are being investigated under the Corrosive, Explosive and Dangerous Weapons Act 1958, which carries a jail term of up to two years or a fine of up to RM2,000, or both upon conviction.
