The first thing that might come to your mind when you see the Inokom i10 is probably the fact that it is only made for women. However, although it might not be as masculine as other cars out there, you will be surprised with how well it fares compared to other cars in its class. In terms of first impression, the Inokom i10 deserves a round of applause for the neat product it is.

Compared with the current Atos, the i10 looks way more exciting, thanks to features like the wedge-shaped headlights, the rear combination lights, a bonnet character line, an outstanding front grille and a tailgate handle. It is obvious that more priority to details has been given in the i10’s case. It is these details that make the car look more alive than many of its rivals on the road now.

In simple words, the Inokom i10 is a car that you won’t get bored looking at, day after day. Now that we’ve sung praises about the exterior details, did they do an equally good job inside the car? Definitely. Only once you enter it you will understand the big dreams it has.

For a car its size, piloting doesn’t feel like you’re sitting in a small car at all. If a six-footer can comfortably drive the i10 with ample leg space, it shouldn’t be a problem for any other average Malaysian. This is because it is wider and longer than most of its rivals.

With the necessary buttons and levers placed where they’re supposed to, large doors and frames, and an ideal seat height that makes entering and exiting the car convenient, there’s pretty much nothing to complain actually.

The Inokom i10 surely scores with flying colours when it comes to practicality. Squeezing through bends, lorongs, finding a parking space, making illegal u-turns to escape the traffic jam, and driving around in the middle of congested towns, which are the biggest concerns of Malaysian drivers, was not an issue at all behind the wheel of the Inokom i10.

However, one aspect could have been improved – the acceleration. It is unfortunate that it lacks the power it deserves. If only it is not as sluggish as it is, it will be an absolute joy ride. Powered by the brand new Epsilon series ultra-modern 1,086cc engine which generates a maximum horsepower of 49.1Kw at 5,500rpm and a maximum torque of 99.1Nm at 2,800 rpm, there’s a lot of room for more power.

Come to think of it, with a whole array of safety features like all-weather disc brakes, self-adjusting rear drum brakes, servo assistance, brake force sensor valve, dual safety circuits and an ABS braking system, the Inokom i10 could’ve been made with more power.

All in all, this car is a deal that is worth the money you’ll be paying, as the comfort, style, practicality and fuel efficiency provided is impressive. It is undeniable that Inokom i10 has offered a product that lives up to its tagline which says that the i10 is a car you’ll be proud to be seen in.
