JENNY, a frequent shopper at The Store supermarket at Jalan Pudu, feels the outlet needs to improve its
customer service.
The past month, she says, she noticed the outlet had no shelf price tags, thereby troubling customers wanting
to know the prices of the goods, since prices are not listed on the products either.
That's not all, she says. On her recent visit there, the bar code price scanner also did not work.
"The Store supermarket shouldn't treat its customers like this ... prices not displayed, price check machines not working. This is really not right," she says.
● A spokesman for The Store on Jalan Pudu says that the large number of customers on weekends sometimes resulted in shelf price tags getting mixed up or going missing, and quite often this situation escapes the attention of staff on duty. Also recently, he says, the price scan machine in the store had been facing a "system offline" problem that needed it to be switched on and off quite a few times before it would work again.
"Probably, when Jenny came, the machine could not be used. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused to our customers. We will rectify these problems as soon as possible," the spokesman adds.
