THE fourth son of the Sultan of Kelantan, Tengku Temenggong Muhammad Fakhry is reported ready to divorce his 'runaway' wife, Manohara Odelia Pinot who claimed she had been abused by her husband.
The 17-year-old Indonesian model allegedly made a 'dramatic escape' to Indonesian when the Sultan’s family was in Singapore.
“It is up to Manohara. It is fine if she asks for a divorce as long as she is happy,” the online Tempo Interaktif quoted Tengku Fakhry's friend, Muhammad Soberi Shafei, as saying via phone last night.
Soberi had apparently said that Tengku Fakhry left it to Manohara whether she wanted to come back to Kelantan or to stay forever in Indonesia.
Manohara was picked up by her mother, Daisy Fajarina, and her step sister, Dewi Sri Asih, in Singapore over the weekend and arrived in Jakarta yesterday morning aboard Garuda airlines.
At a press conference in Jakarta yesterday, Manohara said that she was treated improperly and was sexually harassed.
This has been denied by Tengku Fakhry's side. “It is a lie,” Soberi allegedly told Tempo.
Manohara was married to Tengku Fakhry on 28 August 2008 when she was still below 17 years old. By the end of 2008, Manohara had allegedly 'run away' from Kelantan to Indonesia.
In February, the Kelantan Sultanate apparently had persuaded Manohara to return to Malaysia. At that time, Manohara's family was invited to go to Mecca for the Umrah Islamic pilgrimage.
However, it was alleged that after Manohara had boarded the private plane to return to Kelantan, her mother and sister were left behind at the Saudi Arabia airport.

This is such a sad story. She's too young, first and foremost and he belongs to a respectable Royal family.
Perhaps she was not ready to hold any Royal duties and be tied up with protocols? Perhaps she missed partying with friends and be in the limelight of Jakarta's socialite? Perhaps he thought she could commit? But she's young. Too young.
A teenager doesn't like to be tied up and controlled. Lessons to be learned. If you're a commoner and you're so used to living life freely partying here and there without any familiarity of Royal obligations and responsibilities (and the only understanding you have of Royalties is MONEY, STATUS and MORE MONEY), then you should just chase after other rich commoners to marry.
At least you can still have your freedom without having to commit any sort of direct obligation to the people and at the same time 'drain' your rich hubby's wallet.

If he treated her truthfully right, Manohara won't leave him like this. If she was happy with him, why did her husbend avoid or prevent her meeting her mother? In this world, we must take heed of karma.
i hope everyting going well for both Manohara and her husbend. We want both of them to have peace. Poor both of them.

Of course he is ready to divorce her. What is he going to do?
She's back on home soil, where royal status doesn't mean anything. And why hasn't the Kelantan palace responded to all this hoopla from day one? Instead they unofficially appointed this "friend" Soberi to answer everything.
Who is he? And just out of curiosity, why haven't the MM and other Malaysian media done their own first-hand reporting on this instead of always republishing Indonesian articles?
