INSPIRED BY NECESSITY: Ng has found the blogosphere to be an excellent place for buying and selling anything

WHAT is an exasperated mother to do when her son has an penchant to buy too many T-Shirts?

Start a blogshop to get rid of them.

Meet Deborah Ng, the mother behind Honestees: Shirts for Men (http://honestees.blogspot.com), a humble blogshop with one purpose - to sell off the shirts that son Khailee hardly ever wears.

How did it all start?

As she tells it: "One day, I went into his cupboard and asked him one by one why he never wears some of his shirts.

"And I asked him to give them away; he made so much noise so I asked him to sell it. But he says he is busy.

What's a mother to do?" What is a mother to do indeed?

But no problem, for a solution came in the form of the following suggestion from her son (in an effort to put an end to the nagging, perchance?): "Then he so ‘clever' - said he will teach me how to open a blogshop to sell off some of his shirts for him. I really couldn't stand all these nice shirts sitting around in his cupboard so I thought... why not give it a try?"

Of course, such a solution seems quite natural when the son in question is none other than Khailee Ng (http://khailee.info) who is no stranger to the ins and outs of cyberspace.

Khailee is better known as the cofounder of Malaysian youth opinion community, YouthSays  http://youthsays.com) and has been featured in CyberSpot.

"I taught her blogspot but I did a lot of copywriting and photo-shopping, she did all the photo taking and nagging!" Khailee cheekily reveals; clearly elated at his mother's interest in a realm that has long held him in thrall.

"I just want to get her excited, and understand what the Net is all about," he explains. In her light-hearted FAQ section, Deborah reveals Khailee's other attempts at initiating her into the world of social networking tools.

"He also introduced me to Facebook.

It's still quite empty and I don't know what to do with it. He is also telling me about ‘Tweeter' which I really don't understand.

"I enjoy sharing news about crime in Klang Valley. So my son taught me to use this blog instead of emailing him all the time." explains

Deborah, whose other site (http://crimewatchklangvalley.wordpress.com) was born after a quick tutorial.
According to Khailee: "It's all hers! She did everything, I just taught her Wordpress!"

And what of Honestees' humble entry into the vast world of cyberspace?

For every shirt featured, Deborah includes a detailed description and interview about it from her son, with everything potential buyers might need to know (no refunds, sorry).

To date, she has sold three T-Shirts.

And while she recently managed to convince Khailee to give up a few more shirts, in her eyes, it's still a long road ahead: "The rest I don't see him wear. Also don't know why he still wants to keep..."
