SYDNEY: The wife of the Indonesian-born taxi driver charged with murdering Malaysian consulate driver Mohd Shah Saemin has been charged.

The Sydney Morning Herald this morning reported that the woman, Nita Eriza Iskandar, was a colleague of Mohd Shah, has been charged as an accessory to the crime.

Her husband, Hazairin Iskandar, was charged two days ago while her son, identified as Andrew, was detained in Singapore after taking a flight from Sydney.

JOHOR BARU: The 11 sport events axed from the Malaysian Schools Sports Council (MSSM) calendar have been re-instated. Education Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin announced this morning that the ministry had agreed to allocate a fund of RM89 million for sporting and co-curriculum events in schools that will also cover the 11 events.

KUALA LUMPUR: Two calls to his handphone yesterday by men claiming that syndicates in Johor Baru were "stealing" kidneys from those who visit prostitutes in the capital of Johor has set Datuk Michael Chong's alarm bells ringing.

Chong said in the first case, the caller claimed that his friend had visited a prostitute and ended up waking in a bath tub full of ice.

DAISY Fajarina, the controversial mother of the equally controversial Manohara Odelia Pinot, may have no choice but to serve a jail sentence in France after all.
