FACEBOOK Inc on Thursday unveiled its most ambitious attempt yet to enter mobile computing without a phone of its own, introducing a new app that replaces the home screen on some Android smartphones.

FINDING a high-speed mobile internet connection in the UK just got a little easier. A number of iconic black cabs in London have been fitted with 4G wi-fi hot spots for free, high-speed interent access.

TOYOTA Motor Corp's top North American executive voiced optimism on Thursday about the US economy and said demand in the industry this year would be driven by the need for consumers to replace aging cars and trucks.

FORD Motor Co expects operating margins of about 10% in North America this year, down slightly from 2012, because the company expects a greater portion of its sales this year will come from smaller cars that are less profitable than trucks.

Higher costs associated with growing volumes also pinched margins, the No. 2 US automaker said in a presentation prepared for an investor conference on Wednesday. Last year, Ford's operating margin in North America was 10.4%.

THE US economy remains Americans' top concern in 2013 with 68% worrying about the economy "a great deal", a poll has found.

Economy has been ranked by the annual Gallup poll as the top public concern for Americans since 2008, with healthcare previously being the top concern, Xinhua news agency reported.

Economy is followed by federal spending/deficit (61%), healthcare (59%) and gas prices (55%) as other major concerns for Americans.

INDIA’s airports will handle a cumulative 421 million passengers by 2020, making it the world’s third largest aviation market.

Of the total, 336 million would be domestic passengers, while 85 million international, with projected investment to the tune of US$120 billion (RM371 billion), Civil Aviation Minister Ajit Singh said.

Currently, India is the ninth largest aviation market, handling 121 million domestic and 41 million international passengers.
