AT LAST, university students are allowed to participate in politics. This is made possible when, on April 19, the Dewan Rakyat passed an amendment to Section 15 of the Universities and University Colleges Act (UUCA). The new Section 15(1) states that a university student may become a member of any political party.
IF there is one group that is getting the most attention in the coming 13th general election (GE13), it is the young voters, i.e. those who are below 35 years old. They form half of the electorate.
WE are now coming into the second month of 2012 – the year most political analysts calculate the 13th General Election (GE13) would be held.
A great deal has been discussed pertaining to GE13.
Some of the discussions are quite articulate and objective. However, there are some, and possibly the larger one, which are simply speculative, manipulative, and hence, not productive.
