THERE have been a number of articles in the media which speak for and against the idea of “political sermons” being delivered over the pulpit within congregations of Christians. Some regard this as the abuse of the separation of Church and State and others reframe that faith after all is political; if faith is meant to lead to action.

IF YOU follow any talk by Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Idris Jala; he will not miss talking about the “True North.” What is true north? Is there a True North? I checked Wikipedia, and this is the result: True north (geodetic north) is the direction along the earth’s surface towards the geographic North Pole.

THIS column is third in a series on regime change. The world today is stultified by the lack of courageous leadership. John Maxwell, the Leadership Guru calls this is the Law of the Lid; leadership ability defines the effectiveness of Organisational Performance.

WE live in the 21st Century. This is going to be the most dramatic century in the world.

The older paradigm of power and authority is for the first time being reversed by a newer power of information and knowledge driven entirely by the internet worked world and all her technology allies.

Knowledge is now power!

RECENTLY there have been a number of articles on regime change in Malaysia guided and motivated by differing interests and agenda. I note specifically the ones by Dr. Chandra Muzaffar, Dennis Ignatius and Tricia Yeoh in local media. There is also a series being published by a more scholarly journal out of Canberra, called the New Mandalay, on the same theme.

THE greatest and single most severe problem in Malaysia is blatant corruption. In fact, I would argue that it is not even personal corruption alone, but really institutionalised corruption. What do I mean? My youngest son had to take driving lessons and therefore he went to the same school that his four other siblings had been to. They quoted some new and ridiculous rates.

TUN Dr Mahathir Mohamad recently declared that we are all racists.

If he had read the philosopher Karl Popper, Tun would realise that his was an absolute statement, and if as argued by Popper, even if there is just one case of falsification, his absolute statement would not hold any water!
